My dad served with Squadron 20. I am trying to find out which boat he was assigned to. One of his duties was squadron photographer. I have photos in a scrapbook that he took while serving. Many of them are PT boats that were part of Ron 20. There is nothing in the information that I have that states which boat he was assigned to. Dad passed in 1983 and he would never talk about the war.
I am trying to piece together his time served while assigned to Ron 20. If anyone can steer me in the right direction to find any of this information, it would be greatly appreciated.
Please excuse me if there are any issues with the post. I am new to this.
I would love to post pictures but I’m having trouble trying to convert my pics from jpeg to jpg.

Hi Leer . . .

The file type shouldn't matter a .JPEG id the same as a .JPG id (extension)

JPEG:

4JJt3.jpg

JPG:

4JVsT.jpg

JPEG:

4JuQt.jpg

As you can see either file extension .jpg or .jpeg work fine.

If you have any problems please email the photos and I will be happy to get them uploaded to your Post.

Fining his boat can be a challenge. Only sure way to to check the boat logs which are held at thr National Archives in College Park,MD. What is your dad's name?

Thanks for the input Charlie

I know I have to do some legwork in order to find what I’m looking for. It’s time to start making some phone calls.

I emailed PT boats INC to find what PT boat my Uncle served aboard you might want to try that. If you can give us your fathers name the members of the forum will help you with the search if you feel comfortable doing so. Hope you can upload the photos onto the forum would love to see them.
