My uncle served on a pt boat during 1942-1944 new hebrides but I would like to know which one if possible. My mother says she can’t remember but glen was only brother to serve during ww2. And she said he would never talk about his time on the boats. If there is a way to find out I would like to know. I am a retired navy guy who reproduces ww2 ships/boats of all kinds. She told me she thinks he served on the elco. I don’t have the heart to tell her that is a type of pt boat. Hence the reason I need the boat number. Was it elco- hutchins- or higgens. They are all similar except lenth and armament. You’re help would greatly be appreciated she would like a reproduction for her memory of Glen.

Glen Luna reported to MTBSTC Melville RI December 5, 1942.
He was transferred to PT Boat Base 9 on January 26, 1943.
Stayed with Base 9 til December 14, 1944.
Don't know where he went after that.
So, he was not assigned to any boat or Squadron.

Well, sometimes guys from the base may have relieved someone one a boat. Or if they were working on a boat, they may have ridden it to test things out. All kinds of things happen.
