Small 40mm ammo locker question
http://www.ptboatforum.com/cgi-bin/MB2/netboardr.cgi?cid=101&fid=102&tid=5104
Greetings,
I'm researching PT-122 and have a question about the 40mm ammo locker. In this photo it appears to be smaller than that used on later model Elco's. I'm sure I remember one of the excellent models replicating this. Does anyone have any information or references about this locker?
Thank you
Dave

To add to the confusion, here are some end of war photos that show 40mm ammo lockers with their canvas covers. The first photo I posted makes it look like it is shorter than this, or that the engine hatch cover is taller? I don't know. I look forward to your feedback.

Dave;
The far boat in the second photo PT 352 looks to have the same short 40mm ammo locker. Maybe these are the short mount Australian 40mm and they had a slightly different ammo locker that was originally on a trailer? PT 120 in the foreground has a taller or elevated locker. Just a guess.
Take care,
TED
