I have been looking on the internet trying to find the Italeria #5606 PT Boat crew figures. The only place I can find them is from Amazon but from Japan. I would rather not buy from Japan. Can anyone tell mw where I could find them here in the US.

Every once in awhile a set will show up on e-bay but way over priced. They originally went for $25 from Tower but I have seen them now selling as high as $55. If you don't need them right now, just wait hopefully for a new release from Italeri of the PT 109 crew which should be better for a South Pacific boat anyway.

I'm hopeful for a 109 crew as well, although nothing official. Ebay is the only place I've seen those crew figures.

Ahoy there CJ.
Are you a vet?
Are you a serious modeller?
I might be able to help you out.
Cheers

Peter Tare: Yes I am a PT Vet. I spent 13 months and made 85 patrol missions of Jap held islands aboard PT 242 in the Solomons in 1943 and 1944, Then 9 months at Base 17 in the Philippines till wars end.
No, I am not a serious modeler. However I enjoy PT models for my son and granddaughters and I have put together 2-Dumas kits with armament similar to our PT 242 also the Italeria PT 596 kit and recently finished the new Italeria PT 109. I want these crewmembers for one of my Dumas boats. The scale is slightly different but they look OK to me. I have a M.A.S. crew which has the 2 officers.

Hi C.J.
I do hope that you get relief from that soon - very soon. I buy large bottles of Real Lemon and give two squirts into a 16 oz bottle. I had some kidney related troubles and started drinking a lemon solution. It cleared everything up. My uroligist said that the acid in the Realemon would go a long way to preventing kidney stones. You might ask your son if something like that might help you too.
Cheers

Hi Peter: I received today the PT Boat figures. I certainly want to thank you for sending them to me. I never intended them to be a gift, I planned to pay you for them. Also I never knew you lived in Canada. I can now crew up my 242 model.
I am back to feeling normal after the kidney stone which I passed after about 5 days. Thanks Again Peter you are very generous..

Ahoy there C.J. and Frank.
I;m really happy that the crew has made the journey safely and have reported to C.J. for duty.
I have been very fortunate to have had people on different forums send me stuff as a gift too. It's so nice to be able to help someone out with something that they need but can't get in order for them to complete a model the way they want to.
I feel really blessed to have members of this forum amongst my acquaintences. You bring me many hours of enjoyment and also the vets bring the men of the PT boats and thus the boats alive for me.
Thank you and cheers from Peter
