Nice step by step build of Italeri PT-109 under way
http://www.ptboatforum.com/cgi-bin/MB2/netboardr.cgi?cid=101&fid=102&tid=3053
Greetings all,
If you go to the Model Shipwrights web site (modelshipwrights.shipmaker.net) and look in the Forum section you'll find a nice step by step build of this kit by Todd Michalak called "Building Italeri's PT 109: The Last Night". Todd is walking you through the basic instructions plus some improvements/enhancements he's making to the kit.

David;
Looks like Todd is doing fine, can't wait to see the outcome.
Take care,

Dave,
Thanks for the heads-up on the photos of Todd's build.
Now I'm left wondering...was there open framing aft of the cockpit armor bulkhead, forward of the port curved bridge wing/spray shield, on those early 103-class boats (like in the photo of Todd's build), or was it covered (by armor) also?

Nice, looks like he's going to have a sweet model when he's done.
The helmsman's platform... wonder where Italeri got that design from? Especially the wood grate, as far as I know none of the Elco 80' boats used one.
