Does anyone have a copy of an original John Paul Jones (JPJ) Elco lithograph I can buy at a reasonable cost? I have a PT boat exhibit that is displayed in Cincinnati library’s and it is missing the JPJ lithograph. You may have seen pictures of my exhibit in the All Hands newsletter. I started the exhibit at one library for the standard two week display. The librarian called me at the end of the two weeks and asked if they could keep the exhibit for another month given that is was the most popular display. At the end of the month they called me again and asked to keep it for another month. Then I received a call and was asked if they could share it with three other libraries. That was almost two years ago and it is still being rotated between libraries. I have received emails and letters from many people telling me how much they enjoyed the exhibit and how it motivated them to read books on PT Boats. Obviously the exhibit exceeded my hopes and expectations….I love it. It is a lot of work transporting the items from place to place…but it is well worth the effort to keep the memory alive. Thank you, Mark

Hello Mark-

I want to say congradulations on your PT boat exhibit. I'm sure that folks love it or the library would not have extended your stay.

I understand first hand the amount of work it is setting up an exhibit. I'm very lucky to have an unstanding wife and helper to help me in setting up my Tulagi diorama about eight times a year for our veterans here in North Florida.

I'm sure that you'll find that JPJ poster and hook up with someone on the board in no time.

Much success with your exhibit!

Thanks for the kind words Frank. I must admit, the exhibit is much more successful than I hoped it would be. I was amazed with the amount of letters and emails I received from local residents telling me how much they enjoyed the exhibit.

Mark,
Pt Boats Inc. has colored prints of this litho available at the ships store under videos and prints. Not sure on the size of the reprints but listed for $6 apiece.

Mark,

Happy (and glad) to hear of your PT exhibit at Hamilton County's library branches. I wasn't aware of it at all, until I read your post tonight... Where is the exhibit now? I'd love to see it, since I live in Cincinnati...

Looking forward to seeing it,

Drew,
Great to hear from you again!!! Some day we need to meet given that we live so close. Have you ever met PT Boat Captain Russell Schuster? He lives in Springdale. If not, and you are interested let me know. I have been to his house twice and we could go over there together. He is a GREAT guy and loves talk about PT boats. Let me know what side of town you live on and I will let you know when the exhibit is close to you. I just finished the exhibit in Madeira. Let me know if you want me to send you some pictures of the exhibit. …PS…did you see my boats at the Kentucky reunion?
